Tibouchina grandifolia


This big leafed Australian native has a bud! What plant is it in the greenhouse? How tall is this plant? What color will it bloom?

"Mother Plants" moved into Greenhouse



Mandevilla (the vine with the pink flowers) is one of the plants that will be used as cutting stock for propagation labs in class. Portulaca, Coleus, Jade Plant, and others will be used too.

Open Greenhouse to begin October 10

There will be an open greenhouse time Wednesday mornings from 7am until 1st period. Students may come to water plants, learn to divide plants and to observe plants.

Flowers are set to be laid out for the flower ID lab

area observed.

Getting Started

The first task at hand was to take stock of what is in the greenhouse and storage room. The second task was to get a GROWlab ordered for cuttings and to get the greenhouse ready for plants and people. Progress has been made! The first plants are in and more are coming.
